The battle between two amazing foundation

The beauty trend of having that flawless, dewy and natural-looking skin has been going on forever and I don't see the end of it. Thick foundation and too powdery looking face are so out of the season. On top of all the skin cares we are piling on our face, who really wants another layer of heavy foundation and powder to suffocate our skin, especially during the summer time.

There are two foundation I'm currently in loved with (I love one a little bit more, you will see which), that help me achieving the perfect looking skin without being heavy. Lets have a battle fight between........

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation VS Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation

fight fight fighttttt......

Top:  Healthy Mix , Bottom: Vitalumiere Aqua (look the same)

Review: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation

Heard A LOT of raves about this foundation and so I gave it a try. It meets my expectation, being light and smooth but still provides light-medium converge, enough for everyday use. I don't recommend skipping sunscreen but  SPF 15 is good for those lazy days. I use a pea-size amount of this foundation, focusing on the centre of my face and using my fingers or sometimes a sponge to blend it out. It even out of skin tone and brighten up my complexion. The finish is dewy and it lasts more than 10 hours with a light layer of powder on top.Very natural, doesn't set into fine lines under my eyes and moist enough for my skin (although the SA recommend the foundation  for oily skin but I don't have a problem with it). The price is high (around $460HKD) as expected, of course it's CHANEL!

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation

I absolutely love this foundation. It is very similar to the chanel one without the SPF15. But without SPF doesn't bother me too much because I apply sunscreen almost everyday anyway. And actually it makes the product more versatile because it's better for flash photography (won't give you that white mask).  Other than that, healthy mix is a little creamier (chanel is definitely more liquidy ), lasts a bit longer, provides a little more converge, is a lot cheaper than chanel (around $240HKD)and it is as natural and light. I hate foundation that oxidises and becomes deeper than the colour you first pumped out. Both chanel and healthymix do not oxidise noticeably.  YAY!

Overall guess which wins the battle here????

Healthy Mix!!!

A little tip in choosing foundation, if you have yellow undertone like me, choose a pink undertone foundation will naturalise and brighten up your complexion! Awesome!
